Dear Dave,
We have just finished looking at the tape that you kindly sent us, the PD progs (fonts + Subbuteo Scoreboard) are brilliant, really good stuff. Sinclair Classic is again excellent, well put together and very slick. We only have one criticism, the swearing detracts from the obvious quality and hard work that went into putting SC together. Why spend hours and hours putting class work together and then leave the swear words in... Editors job mate. (Roy + Julie, SPEC UK)
The only Editor we have is the one we cheat at Elite with. To tell the truth we've had no actual complaints about 'adult' language we sometimes use. To be even more honest, we hardly get any letters at all! Now that our circulation is going up though, we must expect and take on board the comments. We both swear a lot in 'real time' and it comes out in the writing. That's us and our personalities. To me it's normal but to others it's obviously not on. I'm not going to ban swearing in this fanzine, it's up to the individual writers to decide. I've suggested to Alchemist Research PD library that SC receives an Adult tag. I'm far more concerned with sexist, racist or homophobic material in PD software which most definitely is banned in here!
