I'm a scarecrow, I'm a scarecrow,
I'm an unfortunate freak!

(Gregory Krugkov, “garden scarecrow”)

frog and pumpkin
*- -*

The frog asked the pumpkin: “Are you a kwa?”
but she remained silent in response.
- little beggar! is she alive or dead?
tell me yes or no?

the frog tapped it with his palm
and poked the pumpkin with her foot,
and the pumpkin was lying in the gardenhis
and the crust glistened tight.

- pumpkin? - the croak squealed. -
pumpkin?
until he whispered to her:
- a good pumpkin is always like this:
keep silent, know that it grows.

 fairies
*- -*

I am a hand mirror
left it in the garden
so that fairies under the moon
skated like on ice.

...remained on the mirror
needles and twigs.
lazy people! dashed off -
and quit their skates.
