 Chapter 5.

No doubt that the magic of the Book will help
to him, Marlock extended his hands with the Book forward and
mentally imagined how it bursts out of them
a fiery stream that devours everything in its wake
ways. But nothing happened. Book
remained just a book, and even if it
really contained a great
strength, then this strength is hidden somewhere in
depth of pages. Here comes the approaching enemy
knew how to use his magic and already
two weighty fireballs flew by
next to Marlock. Realizing that only
Agility won't help him for long, Marlock
hastily erected a magical shield and, revealing
sword rushed forward. Or a ball thrower?
was much less prepared for hand-to-hand combat
fight, or the young magician's sword began
live your own life, but after a couple
seconds left on the edge of the Bloody Marshes
only Marlock. Inspired by the victory,
the young man slashedwith his sword along reaching towards
to him from the Marsh hand. The sword was easily cut off right there
the brush that jumped back to the swamp, with
whistlingly entered the crimson slurry, and back
only half of the sword came out. Having decided that
it will be difficult to fight further,
Marlock hastened to cross the Marshes
back. Thinking about the ease with which he
we managed to obtain such important books
Marlock entered the forest. It's raining here for some reason
stopped and there was silence all around,
which seemed very ominous to the young man. However
there were no compelling reasons to stay put,
but many were waiting for his return,
and so Marlock went deeper into the forest, beginning,
thus, your journey home.
A couple of hours passed, but nothing happened.
The forest remained just as quiet and silent,
no sounds of pursuit were heard, even
heightened inner sense of nothing
prompted Marlock, although old man Zadd
spoke of crowds of creatures guarding and
Zandik's tower, and the forest.
Until the sun that came out disappeared again
behind the clouds, Marlock took out a notebook with
embossed on it with the coat of arms of Sir Edward and,
without slowing down, I began to read...

 "I, Zotan Runmaker, court magician
Inlane, at will and with approval
Supreme Mage of the Land of Zeddicus Zul
Zorandera, went to thishike together
with Sir Edward, nicknamed 'The Lion', and two
brave warriors to prevent the capture
our Country consisting of six lands.
Realizing that our strength and knowledge
not enough to master the Book of Life,
Our mission is to destroy
the sorcerer Zandik, who turned away from the path of Good.
If we can't handle Zendik, then these
records should help those who come for
by us."

Marlock yawned and turned the page...

 "Day one.
The noble pegasi carried us to the roof
the citadels of Zandik, and I let them go. If we
If we win, we can return ourselves, and
if we die, then the help of the pegasuses
won't be needed. The handsome men were already moving away from
towers, like a giant lightning split
the sky and struck all four. Their bodies
disappeared in a bright flash, only a few
white feathers slowly fell to the ground. I
couldn't do anything for ours
majestic allies, and the memory of this
will haunt me all the time.
The only ones in the Country, imported from
seas many years ago, the pegasi died as
They just brought us to our place. Why
were they allowed to do this? Isn't it here
anyone's intention? I didn't have time to think solike the floor slabs we stood on,
disappeared somewhere, and we flew down. Not
I know how long we fell, and whether we fell
in general. More like we were just floating in the air
surrounded by complete darkness. Sudden
flash, and we are already in a small room.
The ceiling is in place, the feet are solid
stone slabs and only one exit in
side. Now I’ll finish writing these lines, and we’ll
Let's go in search of Zandik. He decided
give us a chance by saving our lives and we
Let's take advantage of this chance."
