 TECHNOCIVILIZATION - RULEZ!

 +------------------+

Interview, an excerpt from which I
let me quote here, a year ago
was published in the weekly
"Computer-Info". Even then, I was a little
stunned by the scope of fantasy and drastic
from lines of light nonsense. It's one thing to read
something like this from some science fiction writer
William Gibson, and something completely different to read
serious answers from our peer,
albeit a computer fan. In general
I wanted to preserve such a colorful
text for memory, translating it, mmm... into
digital format, so to speak. Since on
normal language, all this can be translated
in just one word. Very short. ;-)

So, if interested, read the excerpt
interview with Sergei Vodoleev. And not
play around with the PC for a long time, otherwise there’s already one
indulged. :-)

[beginning]

Question: How much time do you spend
computer?

S.V.: In general, all the time that I don’t eat and
I'm not sleeping, I'm at the computer,
In this I combine the concepts of "computer
games" and "working on the Internet".

Question: Do you play all day long?

  S.V.: I can’t say that it’s intact
I just play for days, I make books,
you have to constantly watch new games,
work with people, deal with texts,
select the composition of new encyclopedias. Although
I don't really have much to do with
real life, I'm more willing to live in
cyberspace. This is very serious
thing is the electronic universe. She gives
completely different lifestyle
pleasure from life. I feel in
in some ways a pioneer of a new civilization.
A dozen or two years will pass, and most
people will be able to work, study,
have fun and do all the basics
social functions are entirely within the Web.
The potential opportunities of the cyber world are very
great. This is a lot of artificial
spaces for every taste, huge banks
data instantly available on the first
requirement, the opportunity to communicate with anyone
person on the planet. Disappear
spatial and partlytemporary
restrictions. Over time there will be
completely virtual information
environment, and the real world will need everything
less and less. Especially optimal
immersion in this environment will come after
implementation of direct interface
"man-machine" - when the brain is directly
connects to the computer and we can
directly in the optic nerves
form an image, in the auditory - sound
etc. There will be no talk of permission
monitors, and the power of computers will allow
create extremely realistic objects
and environment. We will communicate virtually
space, as it is now in the real one.

Question: Who will feed people in
such a world?

S.V.: There will be factories for
food production - several
universal synthetic products;
optimal technology has been created
mass production. Actually it's cramped
is associated with the development of energy. Coming soon
cold technologies will be created
thermonuclear fusion. Two thirds of the land
covered by the ocean, and the water is nothing more than
thermonuclear fuel. Where is there water and
energy, there is food and oxygen, and
everything you need. And they will deliver the food
people who get bigmoney for
that they are torn away from their loved one
virtual space, or
industrial robots. Any physical
actions will be costly.

face of the Hi-Tech world :-)
Question: But you won’t die for long? S.V.:Firstly, now civilization came close to creating technological immortality. We already have there is cloning that will allow person to gradually replace those who came to organ failure and significantly prolong life. Secondly, Americans boast that discovered a way to stop aging process. Although this information is still not completely confirmed. Next step - creation of a complete human prosthesis bodies and solving the problem of brain transplantation. The individual brain lives much longer bodies. You should take care of him, because only he durability will soon be measured human life expectancy. The last stage is the creation of an electronic bearer of human individuality and a complete solution to the problem of eternal life. In general, all biological mechanisms can can be successfully repeated mechanically, in non-living structures. Many people still don’t understand - we are entering into a completely new technological era. Individual immortality is already real for our contemporaries. Everything that is created some "creator", sooner or later will be able understand and create man. And before desire people to live forever or longer in the new world no one can stand. But we must understand - success in genetic engineering, increase energy availability, creation of a globalhigh-speed network, the likeness of which today is the Internet, nanotechnology in general, all achievements of progress put big problems associated with the possibility the emergence of new conflicts. Most you can fully use it technological advances in conditions when the world will be unified and completely manageable. You can calmly build spaceships for expansion to other worlds. There are myriads of stars in the sky, and we we live on this planet and nothing but it, we don't see. I don’t know who but me worries. I need a way to the stars. Question: People in your man-made civilizations are physically weak creatures, and what about a person’s desire to be strong, physically healthy? S.V.: To be strong, it’s enough feel like a 90-meter robot with an atomic weapons. There's no need to make it strong your body. You see, a person feels very strong when it turns out to for example, at the helm of a walking excavator or launches ballistic rocket. And with the help of synthetic worlds It's easy to feel like anyone. Question: What do you think will happen to nature? S.V.: If we have cheap energy, There will also be an unlimited supply of food. Why then do we need this nature? All the oceans are just fuel for reactors, and there will be enough of it for a long time. Question: Will the planet survive such tests? S.V.: It doesn’t matter. If they want preserve the biosphere for pleasure - will save and restore, will not want - to whom is she needed? We won't need it anymore grow potatoes in the fields - we will have underground plantation where the eternal shines artificial sun from burning water. Now we are faced with a super task - get rid of addiction to biological environment that was originally created as optimal and the only one for living humanity. Technological path shows that this is not the case. There's no need for everyone to believe it, but It is advisable to know about its existence. [end] But the last phrase is quite common sense.
